Sustainable Development Committee

The Sustainable Development Committee (SDC) is a group of neighborhood residents who review, discuss and make recommendations to developers and to the City of Boston about proposed developments in the Dudley Triangle. For more than 30 years, SDC members have ensured that development in the neighborhood is sustainable and centers the needs of residents. Meetings are on 4th Thursdays of the month. Organizing Committee

The purpose of DSNI’s Organizing Committee is to generate change at the neighborhood, City and State level by community organizing educating the community about relevant issues. Organizing Committee meetings happen on every third Tuesday of the month.

Greenhouse Advisory Committee

Part of DSNI’s mission is to organize residents to convert vacant land into gardens, and promote access to locally-grown, healthy food. The Greenhouse Advisory Committee is an elected body of neighborhood residents that makes decisions regarding the Dudley Greenhouse. Meetings are on the second Thursdays of each month.

Book a Land Trust Tour

Schools, universities, and organizations can book a tour and visit the affordable homes, parks, urban farms, and playgrounds on the Dudley Neighbors, Inc. Community Land Trust. There is a honorarium fee depending on group size and length of visit. Click here for more information and to request a visit.

Events

Multicultural Festival

At the Multicultural festival, the community comes together to celebrate our vibrant cultural diversity and our vision for change. We have stage performances, local independent musicians, dancers, actors, painters, and healing artists. Family members of all ages enjoy food, face painting, and activities.

Annual Meeting

The annual meeting is a community event where we engage in dialogue about DSNI’s strategies and upcoming plans. Every other year it is an opportunity to vote for the next DSNI Community Board of Directors. We have food, entertainment, childcare, and celebration of our accomplishments.
